There’s a good chance you found your way here because you’re trying to create a home that feels more like you. Perhaps you’ve recently moved, you’re planning a renovation, or you’re standing in the middle of a room wondering where to begin. You may have plenty of ideas, inspiration, and more saved images than you would like to admit, but turning all of those individual ideas into a home that feels cohesive and complete is another story.
This is where most homeowners get stuck, not because they lack creativity or good taste, but because they don’t have a clear process for making decisions. Every purchase feels important, every choice seems connected to the next, and it becomes easy to second-guess yourself, postpone decisions, or spend money on things that never quite work together.
After more than twenty years as a professional interior designer, I’ve learned that creating a beautiful home isn’t about finding the perfect sofa or choosing the latest paint color. It’s about understanding how each decision supports the next. Once you have that clarity, decorating becomes far less overwhelming and much more enjoyable.
When I was nine years old, I discovered my grandmother’s collection of Architectural Digest magazines, and I was completely captivated. I remember sitting on the floor for hours, slowly turning each page and studying the homes, architecture, furniture, and the way every room seemed to tell a story. Long before I understood what an interior designer actually did, I knew it was what I wanted to become.
That dream never changed. I earned my bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, completed an extensive study of the fine arts, became a professional Interior Designer, and built the career that the nine-year-old version of me could only imagine. At its core, my work has always been about creating spaces that strengthen the way people live, work, gather, and connect.
Throughout my career, I’ve had the opportunity to work with some of the most respected architecture and design firms in the country. Today, I serve as a Project Executive at a well-respected architecture and design firm, where I lead complex workplace and commercial interior projects and help clients, stakeholders, and design teams move from an initial vision to a thoughtful, cohesive result.
My work extends far beyond selecting furniture or finishes. I spend my time understanding what clients need, asking the questions that uncover the real problem, guiding teams through complicated decisions, building consensus, and making sure every part of a project supports the larger vision. It is strategic, creative, and deeply human work, and it has taught me that the quality of a space depends as much on the decisions behind it as the objects within it.
People are sometimes surprised that my professional career has focused primarily on commercial interiors rather than residential design. Although the scale and complexity may be different, the underlying process is remarkably similar. Whether we’re creating a corporate headquarters, a hospitality environment, or a residential home, we begin by understanding who we are designing for, how the space should function, what experience it should create, and which decisions need to be made first so everything else can fall into place.
Professional designers don’t simply have a better eye. We rely on a thoughtful process that allows each decision to build upon the one before it. That process is what creates spaces that feel intentional, functional, and beautifully connected.
Several years ago, I met my husband, Vincent, who is French, and we moved to his hometown in France.
While I was waiting for my visa, friends and family back home began reaching out for help with their homes. Since I was thousands of miles away, I couldn’t walk through their spaces or make decisions for them. Instead, I guided them through the process using phone calls, photos, and conversations.
As I worked with them, I noticed a pattern. They didn’t lack creativity or good taste—they lacked confidence. They were overwhelmed by the number of decisions, afraid of making expensive mistakes, and unsure where to begin.
That’s when I realized something important: professional designers don’t rely on instinct alone. We rely on a proven process. Once I began sharing that process, everything changed.
That experience eventually shaped the E.D.I.T. Framework and the practical resources I create today, but the idea behind all of it remains very simple: when people understand the process, they feel more confident creating a home that genuinely reflects them.
Every home and every homeowner is different, which is why I’ve never believed in imposing one particular style or giving people a rigid formula to follow. The best homes aren’t copies of someone else’s rooms. They reflect the people who live there, support the way they move through their days, and bring together beauty, comfort, and function in a way that feels personal.
My goal is to help you understand why you’re making each decision, how it connects to the larger vision, and what needs to happen next. Once you understand that process, you no longer have to rely on trends, copy a room you found online, or hope your purchases eventually work together. You can create a home that feels intentional, cohesive, and completely your own.
Whether you are furnishing a new home, refreshing one room, planning a renovation, or simply trying to decide what to do next, I hope the ideas and resources you find here help you move forward with greater clarity. You don’t need an unlimited budget, perfect taste, or years of design experience. You need a thoughtful approach and the confidence to trust the decisions you make.
Today, Vincent and I live in Nashville after building chapters of our life together in France and Los Angeles. Our lives have always revolved around creativity, whether that means designing interiors, preparing delicious food, traveling, or building something of our own.
Living in different cities and experiencing different cultures has shaped the way I see home. I’m continually inspired by the creativity and energy of Los Angeles, the beauty and ritual of everyday life in France, and the familiarity of returning to Nashville.
Those experiences have only strengthened what I have always believed: a beautiful home isn’t defined by its size, its budget, or how closely it resembles a magazine. It is defined by how it makes you feel and how well it supports the life you want to live.
If you’ve read this far, thank you. I hope this is only the beginning and that this site becomes a place you return to whenever you need thoughtful guidance, a clearer perspective, or the confidence to make your next decision.
Creating a home you love is absolutely within your reach. It happens gradually, through choices that are considered, connected, and true to the way you want to live. I’m thrilled you’re here, and I’m excited to help you along the way.
